Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportcaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. She started working at ESPN in the year 2016. Her daughter is television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. Her ability was crucial in securing her first post as a production assistant for Univision Miami at which time she was a producer of programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then it was announced that her CBS channel in St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. The year 2009 saw her move into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In reporting on news stories related to illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking on the Texas and Mexico border, she served as a journalist on the Spanish channel KNVO TV48 Univision and Fox2 News. As an anchor, her duties for weather or sports were regularly requested. She was then the anchor reporter and anchor for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. The couple divorced shortly after in 1995. Her mother was remarried to an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. Her residence was there in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer, which was the time she received the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school however, she had a clear idea of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University to decide if it would be a good fit for her. She discovered that she loved the campus and that the school offered the major she wanted. She finished school and enrolled at the University to study media studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a member. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence prompted her. She, in turn, tried to meet his standards and not disappoint him.
